Sybill would definitely think that “May you live interesting times” was a curse! She wants to be a Seer, but she doesn’t want to have to see some of the awful things that are going on in the world at that time.

Exactly — an how horrible to realize that if it had happened on that occasion, it would have been fully your fault, since you had access to Wolfsbane but didn’t take it. And at a school full of children, too — it must have been nightmarish for him to realize what could have happened. And I’m sure it’s worse normally, when he’s not at Hogwarts, getting Wolfsbane regularly.

Thanks! It was only after writing the second drabble that I decided to try to make it a real series. I hope I’ll be able to continue that with the other sets of drabbles, as well — even if I write them a bit out of order, perhaps. I can always re-order them when I post them to the archives.

Thank you! His life must have been very difficult and lonely, especially after James & Lily were killed and Sirius was sent to prison, but even before that, no doubt he felt an outsider even to the lives of his friends, unable to have a really “normal” life of his own. When he was at Hogwarts, I like to imagine that having Poppy’s monthly care was something that gave him some solace.
