I don’t understand why you don’t get more comments here, it always provides the most useful little tidbits like the character summary for Death’s Dominion! I wasn’t sure where to post this one, but as it spans chapters, and entries, and stories, and is part love letter, I think it is appropriate here.
Reading the last chapter and then seeing all their names in list form was like meeting old friends again! You certainly exceeded expectations. 🙂 As there was less to scroll through for Chapter 31 I was saying to myself: “But if I don’t know what happened to Quin, I’ll be so upset,” and then there he was! And: “Just Gertie, one more time, please!” and you did one better and showed her with Severus. Of course, you are absolutely masterful, your final battle was better than the real deal and this last chapter had the perfect dose of sentimentality (although if you had birthed and named a couple of Minerva and Albus’s children, I would have laughed pretty hard. Ah just imagining Egeria makes me laugh at that! hehe).
Like I do every couple of months, I’m rereading Resolving a Misunderstanding. I’m involved in a project of my own that I have to force myself to complete, so my reward is a couple chapters every time I make some progress. 🙂 You are such a talented writer and it continues to be my favorite novel.
To close my praise-y comment, I’ll share some of of my hopes and dreams on the epilogue. I was mid-way through Chapter 31 and was all “This chapter obviously won’t, but – Finally! The next chapter will have some new hot Albus and Minerva … [lemons]…” (can you tell I’m on RaM chapter 36? hehe) Then I realized you had just completed a 32-chapter-epic Severus-and-Hermione love story, so I likely wasn’t getting that, hehe. I realized that about the same time I realized I wasn’t going to get to hear what Quin had said to Minerva when she greeted him or listen in on what she might say when she next talked to Gertie. But that doesn’t stop me from wishing and hoping the epilogue will be a nice dialogue-y tea party with only Minerva, Albus, Quin, and Gertie, which is saying something, considering –

Yes, the epilogue will not be a Minerva, Albus, Quin, and Gertie tea party, but interestingly enough, I was thinking about doing a one-shot of their little after-dinner gathering, although there would be a few other characters present (Gareth and Poppy, for example), but I had only given it a passing thought. I might give it another thought.
I have had a few emails expressing regret at the lack of hot Albus-Minerva lemons in DD (since the two scenes in DD can’t really be classified as lemons), but I think it’s understandable why we wouldn’t see them in this story. I’m glad you’re enjoying your reread of RaM, though! (Do you have/want the pdf of RaM? Let me know if you do, and I can email it to you.)
I do sometimes wonder whether people read the tidbits I post here, but every now and then, people send me a PM or email and mention the LJ, so I continue to update it. (And you just left a comment, too, which is lovely! :-)) The TOCs contains more info than is on the TOCs for the archives, too — and I occasionally post the chapter title and a little bit of info about the chapter ahead of time.
LOL! Birthed & named a couple of Albus & Minerva’s children!? I would laugh pretty hard at that, myself. But I think a public marriage is what we’ll get — no secret kids stashed anywhere. hee!
I am very glad that you liked the battle chapter. I labored over that one, and I think it’s one of the chapters I’m most pleased with of any of my fics.
