Using the Coraline Theme

Fiddling and Tweaking

I’ve switched to the Coraline theme—at least for now—and we’ll see how that goes.

I’ve been playing with the theme on and off today, moving things around, making some “featured” header images for certain pages (check out “The Sunshine of Kindness” for one such header image, or “The Sorting of Suzie Sefton” for another, or take a look at this one here, and the one for the contact form makes me smile), fiddling with widgets in different areas (those are the little modules in the sidebars and footer areas), and trying different background colors (some less successful than others—the blue links looked really atrocious against my favorite grayish-blue background, sadly).

I’ll likely continue to play with the theme colors, widgets, and the site pages for a while, so things may look “broken” at times, but they’ll settle down eventually.

If you have any comments about the site look or functionality, feel free to leave a comment here or to send me a note. I don’t have control over everything in the theme, but I’m having fun with all the little tweaks that are available. But if a link isn’t working or a color scheme hurts your eyes or you aren’t easily finding your way around, let me know! 🙂

What do you think?
