Finally, an update to A Long Vernal Season, Chapter 103

Chapter One Hundred-Three: Of Lilacs, of Love, and of Danger

No, not abandoned, just on a brief hiatus while RL took precedence and my Muse took a holiday, but A Long Vernal Season now has a new chapter up, thanks to a recent bout of insomnia!

We see more of Aine, Quin’s daughter, and we find out whether Severus can manage to continue to enjoy himself — or at least not be miserable. After all, he’s not sitting next to anyone “atrocious,” as he had feared!

If you would like to see where everyone is sitting in relation to each other, take a look at the schematic at the bottom of this post.

Here is the next chapter of A Long Vernal Season:

Long Vernal Season - on the Petulant Poetess

Chapter One Hundred-Three: Of Lilacs, of Love, and of Danger
3 April 1999
Albus’s dinner party is under way, and Severus tries not to have a miserable time. It seems, however, that even at a party, the most ordinary conversations can turn to the war and its aftermath.

  1. Wonderful news! I’m very happy your muse is alive and you’re spoiling us with a new chapter!
Off to bed now and first thing in the morning will be LVS with coffee…best way to wake up and start the new day 🙂

  2. I surely enjoyed it and delayed my sleep for it (so hard to act wisely), and slept very well, with my curiosity all satisfied 🙂

Great chapter, Aine’s ‘words’ made it really intriguing (trying not to hand out any spoilers here) and Severus’ reaction is both typical as well that it shows his growth. Thanks!
