This Detective Novel’s Story Doesn’t Add Up – NYTimes.com

J.K. Rowling’s pseudonymously published novel got rave reviews, but few sales. She apparently loved the freedom of publishing under a pen name, “Robert Galbraith,” but was “outed” by the Sunday Times of London.

Check out the story in the New York Times:

  1. I heard about this!!! Man, it’s so awesome that she’s published another book, pseudonym or not 😀

    • Yeah, and I thought it was cool that she wanted to have the book published and reviewed without having people have preconceptions and expectations because it was a book by her. I think it says a lot that the book got such good reviews before anyone knew it was her — and it’s unfortunate that no one was buying it because it was an “unknown” author despite the good reviews, until they found out she had written it.

I figure I’ll get it on my Kindle one of these days and give it a read. I like detective fiction and mysteries, so I’m looking forward to it.
