I was shocked to see the news of Alan Rickman’s death. The world’s lost a great talent. I send my sympathy to his family and friends, whose loss is personal. They must be experiencing a great void in their lives.

Richard Griffiths, best known in the U.S. for his portrayal of Vernon Dursley, Harry Potter’s angry, frightened, and hate-filled uncle in the Harry Potter films, died yesterday, Thursday the 28th of March. He was only 65, but he suffered complications following heart surgery.
