Third week of the HP Friendship Fest

The fourth week of the HP Friendship Fest has already begun, but you can find the weekly round-up of fics from the third week over on the Fest site.

Last week’s fics had two that I particularly enjoyed: “Sybill Trelawney and the Unexpected Gift” and “Before Peace”. (“Sybill Trelawney and the Unexpected Gift” was written in response to a prompt that I left.)

I have added “Before Peace” to my recommendations page, and I plan to add a few more fics from the Fest, as well.

As I’ve mentioned before, the Fest is quite eclectic, and there’s something for just about anyone’s tastes, I think, so check out the fics. They’re perfect for short late-summer reads.

Completed Works on An Archive of Our Own: “Resolving a Misunderstanding” and “A Holiday with the Headmaster”

Resolving a Misunderstanding banner for ADMM ficResolving a Misunderstanding is now completely uploaded to An Archive of Our Own, as is A Holiday with the Headmaster, a story that takes place towards the end of Resolving a Misunderstanding.

For descriptions of these fics, see the listing of all my stories here, or see the full table of contents with chapter summaries for Resolving a Misunderstanding, or the table of contents for A Holiday with the Headmaster.  For more information about the “RaMverse” in general, take a look at the Compendium of Information.

A Holiday with the Headmaster bannerWith the final update to Resolving a Misunderstanding, all of my completed stories are now available on An Archive of Our Own, including the first novella in the “Stray” series, which is being posted as a single, chaptered fic on the Petulant Poetess.

I am considering beginning to upload my works-in-progress, likely beginning with Charming the Scottish Garden. However, since I want to make more progress on my works-in-progress, I am not going to do that for a while yet.

My hands are beginning to get better, and I can now type for more than a few paragraphs at a time without pain, so I’m hopeful that the next update of A Long Vernal Season will be forthcoming in the next week or so!

Hottest Fic Clicks & other miscellanea

Stan ShunpikeDo you ever glance at the “Hottest Clicks” for this site? They’re usually pretty opaque — if they lead to a page on the Petulant Poetess or An Archive of Our Own, for example, you’ll see the domain, but the individual page will just be identified by numbers.

To help you decipher these links, here are the most popular fic clicks for the past 90 days on the Petulant Poetess, An Archive of Our Own, and fanfiction.net. Continue reading

eBook Downloads

I have edited the eBook download page (which is located on my LJ) so that there are now direct links to each available story, rather than just the links through the doc file (though I did leave that in place for anyone who wants to download the list).

The post is temporarily a sticky post at the top of my LJ, but it will eventually be “unstickied.” You can always find it via the link here on my blog, or via the link in the sidebar of my LJ.

I’m going to be revising the Resolving a Misunderstanding formatting & tweaking the text a bit in the next couple of days, so if you haven’t already got it, you may want to wait to download it. I’ll post an “aside” here when the new & improved version is available!

Again, anyone who would like any of these in ePub rather than mobi and doesn’t know how to convert them, drop me a note, and I’ll be happy to convert the ones you’re interested in.

WIP Updates

Anyone looking for new chapters or stories, I’m hoping to be able to write a little bit at a time and update at least one of my fics before the month of March is gone. I see a hand specialist in a few days, so I don’t know whether I will be more or less incapacitated after that! But I’m hopeful that it will help, in the long run if not in the short.
