Are you going to write another story in the RAM universe? Please? A further delight for ss/hg shippers? Pretty please?
I love your work.
Thanks! I’m glad you love my work. (It’s so funny how LJ send the comment in an email and says “somebody” said. I always have the urge to say, “hello, somebody!” Yeah, I’m a bit nuts!)
As I’ve mentioned in various places, I’ve written about three-quarters of the draft of the sequel, and I’ll likely finish the draft over time, but I don’t know if I’ll revise, polish, and post it. I’m not sure of its audience, and such. Maybe I’ll do it by email or something. I dunno.
The sequel does focus on Severus, and pretty much follows him through the story. We’ll see.
Having reread Death’s Dominion over the weekend, I love the story even more. It’s easy to lose track of the fine details you incorporated unless you consume the whole story in a few days.
This was like consuming a fine boullabaise. Finding the bits of red snapper to contrast with the smooth flavor of the clams. Mussels and shrimp for variety. Potato to give it substance and lobster to provide the richness. Add some fennel and lemon to give it a just a little bite. Simmer and let the flavors blend together to make something even more wonderful than the sum of the parts.
You gave us a wonderful and memorable story.
Just because we dined well today doesn’t mean we won’t be hungry tomorrow. I’m hoping you’ll give us the marvelous gift of your sequel. I will be ready for more fine dining.
Thanks, hypnobarb! I’m glad you reread the story and enjoyed it so much. It was the story that consumed more of my time, energy, and emotion, relative to its length, than anything else I’ve written, so it’s really wonderful to know how much you enjoyed it.
I will see about the sequel. I like it, myself, but I’m not sure whether other people will. Anyway, after I’ve finished it, I’ll think about posting it or sharing it in some way with people who I think might enjoy it. It will need polishing, too, so whatever I decide, it will be a while. It is much more of a straightforward story, though, not quite the multi-layered kind of story than Death’s Dominion was.
Thanks again!
Girl friend, we’ll take it any way you want and whenever you’re ready. Good things are worth waiting for.
